Lightfoot Logistics is a strategic 3PL service provider with a 40,000 square-foot warehouse facility in Canning, Nova Scotia, just a few minutes away from Highway 101, which runs from Halifax to Yarmouth. Our fully Safe Food for Canadians-CFIA Licensed warehouse offers comprehensive freezer and cold storage solutions, supported by advanced racking and material handling equipment, as well as a highly adaptable, state-of-the-art warehouse management system, designed to meet all of our clients' needs.
Our Story
Lightfoot Logistics started off as a promising 3PL business when a local entrepreneur acquired a 40,000-square-foot facility in Nova Scotia, recognizing an opportunity to be part of the region’s cold chain infrastructure. With growing demand from local food producers and exporters, the facility quickly transformed into a fully certified Safe Food for Canadians 3PL freezer and cold storage facility, offering temperature-controlled warehousing, distribution, and inventory management solutions. We aim to be recognized for our reliability and efficiency, as well as partnerships with regional farmers, seafood suppliers, and major retailers.
Our Warehouse
Our 40,000 Sq. ft. facility offers a fully integrated storage solution with freezer, and cold storage capabilities. Equipped with the necessary racking and temperature control systems to ensure safe and reliable handling of all products.
Freezer Storage for Seafood
Over 20,000 sq. ft. of our facility is dedicated to freezer storage for seafood, maintaining temperatures below -25°C. The space features drive-in racking with pallet positions designed to accommodate all pallet types.
Cold Storage
Our Cold storage is equipped with drive-in racking and pallet positions ranging from 58" to 110". We can accommodate all pallet types, regardless of height or weight. The temperature in this room is set at -20°C
Push Back Racking
Our Cold Storage room is built with push-back racking, maximizing pallet capacity and optimizing loading and unloading efficiency. The area is humidity-controlled to ensure product integrity and consistent storage conditions.
